Dr J Richard T Wood is a former Commonwealth Scholar and a graduate of Rhodes and Edinburgh Universities. He was the Ernest Oppenheimer Memorial Research Fellow at the University of Rhodesia and was later a senior lecturer in history at the University of Durban-Westville. He is currently researching and writing a history of Rhodesia over the years 1948-1980.
