Lawrence Green was born during the siege of Kimberley
during the Anglo-Boer War and he died in 1973.
His books have sold over a half million copies
in southern Africa. He was a retiring type of man
who did his own research and personally
collected his own material. A fine trait in his
character was his willingness to help aspiring authors
without expecting any reward.
